Fertilizers
Low-carbon and conventional nitrogen fertilisers into the EU. MSE assembles the compliance the border now demands - CBAM declaration, RFNBO proof, verified emissions - and routes the tonne to the importer. Title passes producer to buyer. MSE holds no position.
Our Role
MSE puts the producer in direct contact with the end-buyer, arranges financing with first-tier Swiss and European banks, and runs full door-to-door logistics - the buyer, the financing and the terms stay with the producer. Our role in full →
What MSE Does Differently
MSE contracts in its own name but for the producer's account. Title passes straight from producer to buyer. No position, no price or commodity risk, a fee not a spread. The chain of custody stays one link shorter than a trader model. OR 425-438.
Authorised declarant support. Verified embedded emissions, direct and indirect. Certificate exposure modelled product by product to 2034 as free allocation phases out. Actual-emissions positioning against default values, so a low-carbon tonne escapes the default invoice.
Additionality, temporal and geographical correlation, a lifecycle saving of at least 70 per cent, and a Proof of Sustainability that survives audit. The renewable premium defended with paper that holds through the verifier and the importer's declarant position.
Offtake structures priced and papered for a credit committee. Take-or-pay corridors. SPV under Swiss law. The named long-term buyer that makes the next production expansion financeable, kept with the producer rather than lost to the middle.
Independent ammonia terminals and second-tier operators across Northwest Europe. Freight and storage cost cut, optionality that lenders price, and door-to-door execution under customs supervision with chain-of-custody documentation.
Trade and commodity finance desks across Switzerland, the EU and the UK. Development banks and export credit agencies. Specialised trade finance funds. Most of this capital has never been shown a bankable green fertiliser file. MSE builds it.

Coverage
Low-carbon and conventional. Merchant and feedstock grades. Verified-emissions positioning for the definitive CBAM regime, with the paper trail a verifier and a credit committee both accept.
Urea, ammonium nitrate and calcium ammonium nitrate. Prilled and granular. CBAM embedded-emissions documentation product by product, direct and indirect.
UAN solutions, NPK and nitrogen-bearing blends. Specification and compliance matched to the European importer's declarant position and end-use.
Track Record
MSE's compliance capability was not assembled for this sector. It runs across the platform: ISCC EU certification and RED III pathways in biofuels, CBAM carbon accounting in metals and building materials, and the Swiss commission-agent structure applied throughout. Fertilisers add one product family to a compliance architecture already in production. The commission-agent model carries no price or commodity risk. It carries the file, the financing and the route to market - and leaves the producer holding the customer, the margin and the relationship.
