Three ways a mandate is taken
Every engagement runs under one of three formats. The format decides who signs, how MSE is paid, and how far along the transaction its authority reaches.
The functions a principal entrusts to MSE, independent of the commodity and ordered by the life of a transaction. A mandate rarely needs all of them. It always needs to know which phase it is in.

A sector desk sets out what MSE takes on in that material and under which mandate format. A tool hub carries the calculators and reference for it. The three layers below run through every sector rather than beside them.
17 instruments, placed against the phase they serve
Every tool runs on real transaction parameters and asks for no registration. The carbon tools cover all 30 goods Annex I lists across 114 origins, read from Annex I as replaced by IR (EU) 2026/1740. The tools directory lists them as a catalogue. Here they sit where they are used.
The Pathfinder takes the same model and returns the one route through it that fits a given situation, with the regulatory gates that apply and what a first conversation will ask for.
